Host Training

Well, today was an interesting day. You think that your friendly neighborhood restaurant is run quick and easy, that nothing is really needed to work in there. But let me tell you, holy crap on a cracker, it takes a lot out of you. I did my host training today.
There is a LOT that goes into being a host. It's a lot more than just sitting you in a booth and giving you a menu. There are things you need to know, things you need to do, certain things you say, things to memorize (such as table numbers, server names, wait times, etc)...
I swear, my feet have never hurt me more. Running around all day with a huge crowd was crazy. I didn't think I was ever going to be done. But it worked out, I got done and learned it all.

Now, tomorrow is my last day of training... so, for now, I'm gonna run! Thanks for reading and remember, don't forget to tip your server. :P
